RUSUNMED™ is a Carboxymethyl Chitosan hemostat designed to stop lethal bleeding fast, it has a much better performance than traditional Chitosan hemostats.
It is easy to use, extremely effective, and safe. RUSUNMED™ comes in different delivery systems-pouch and syringe applicator, providing a commitment to aiding the caregiver in treating a variety of complicated and deep wounds.
It is same as human physiological pH, no stimulation caused like normal Chitosan(+acidic additive) hemostats. | It also does not generate heat and will not burn the casualty or caregiver. | |
It works independently of the body’s normal clotting processes. | Its clotting ability has been proven to work in hypothermic conditions and in the presence of common anticoagulants such asCoumadin and Heparin. |
RUSUNMED™ granules have dual function of blood clotting:
1.It has abundant Carboxymethyl which is hydrophilic, plus its form of very high surface-area flakes that absorb fluid from blood very quickly.
2.At the same time, when placed directly into a bleeding wound and subjected to pressure, the positively charged RUSUNMED™ cross-links with negatively charged red blood cells, RUSUNMED™ swells, gels and sticks together forming a sticky and robust pseudo clot, This adhesive-like action seals the wound and rapidly controls bleeding. This clot sticks well to moist tissue to plug the bleeding site, it does not easy to fall during the moving of wounded person and cause secondary hurts.
RUSUNMED™ does not set off the normal clotting cascade and cannot enter the bloodstream., it only clots the blood it comes directly into contact with. RUSUNMED™ also does not set off a blood clotting response which would lead to clots being formed at a distance to the product.
